Two down, two to go!

I have officially handed in my Practical work yesterday, via the college's intrenet on 'Moodle'. I am now going to start my Construction work and Evaluation on monday.

Two new assigments

Now that i have technically finished my Double Page Spread, i will now need to do the 'Condstruction Work' and the 'Evaluation'.

Start Double Page Spread

Now that i have finished my Magazine Front Cover, i will now need to start my Double Page Spread. It will consist of two pages which will have an article about "The First South Asian Reggae" Artist. This will be a scenerio as an Inteview!

Sorting out

I have nearly finished my Magazine front cover, but all i need is the pictures, which is why this week i am going to take my pictures. Tomorrow i am going to ask permission if i can use the College Drama Studio for the lighting as the quality of the pictures need to be at the very best standards.

Done Deal Done

Yesterday i have finished my 'Planning Brief' and gave it to my Media Teacher. Now i am starting the first steps of making my Magazine. So far, i have made the NME Magazine logo up by using the facilities on Adobe Photo shop. I have also made the background pitch black with a few Headline titles.

I had a problem and it really hurt!!! :(

I was not able to finish my brief planning as last Monday, i dislocated my right shoulder in the gym. The injury left me at home for two days and i was not able to do my work as it was in college. I am now allowed an extension for the planning as i am going to show an appointment card to my Media Studies Teacher.

Today i have continued on my Brief Planning and now i'm nearly finished with it.

Planning

Last friday, i gave in my Coursework brief, so hopefully the teachers will give me back the Brief with a positive feed back. Now i am doing planning for assigment 2.

Here is a list of what i am going to include -

• I will be making few more sketches,
• designs and ideas for costumes
• Which models i will be using
• What articles i will be including
• What i will include in my double spread sheet

Plan

Today, i have done a plan on my magazine and sketched out an idea of what i want to do. The sketch is not my final idea though, and i am expecting changes from it. I have also done a questionnaire on what people expect from a teenage magazine such as articles and colours. The questionnaire will be handed out to people in my class and people outside my class who are teenagers aged around 16-19.

Expectation

I have now gathered up my research and have an idea on what my Music Magazine should be on. The piece will be a general Music magazine on all types of genre. It will have a taste of reggae such as an interview on the first asian reggae artist. There will also be a taste of Hip-Hop which will be the main aim on the front cover.

Mind Map

I have made a Mind Map to get a better idea on what elements i should use within a Teenage Magazine. I have broken the ideas up into different genres such as -

• Gossip


• Cars


• Sports

After i have done that, i broke them up into Sub headings and wrote down what issues you find within each genre. E.g you find 'Hip Hop' in Music.

Today i have been advised to look at different genre magazines as i need to aim my target audience at teenagers... this has caused my ideas to go very narrow!.

Now i am going to look at Teenage Magazine ideas on the internet.

Today i have been collecting examples of music front cover magazines as i want to create a "Music Magazine". I have front covers of different music genre magazines such as; 'rock', 'Hipe Hop' and 'R&B'.
